What’s better than homemade whipped cream? Carob Whipped Cream! Traditionally made with dairy-based heavy cream, this fresh and fluffy concoction can also be prepared with dairy-free whipping cream. Check with your neighborhood organic market or the health food aisle of your favorite supermarket for non-dairy options. For our dairy-free version, we used this whipped cream from Silk.
Since the carob powder is naturally sweet, you will need minimal to zero amount of sweetener. For this carob whipped cream recipe, we only used a small amount of maple syrup to add a bit of sweetness and flavor. Or you may use carob syrup too!

TIP: We have found that containers labeled simply “whipping cream” sometimes have lower milk fat and will make a runnier whipped cream, so look for the word “heavy” on the carton if you’re wanting a stiffer result.
